"It was my first time eating here. I was with a group of four. Everyone loved their meal. I ordered chicken waffles. It was out of this world. I don't think there's anything that could've been improved. The homemade Belgium waffle had sugar pearls and special syrup. The texture would rival any Belgian waffle anywhere in Belgium or France . The chicken was breaded with a special coating. It was my first time ordering chicken and waffles ever. The meal was delicious, but the waffle I think dropped out of heaven! The staff was friendly and helpful. Can't say enough nice things about this restaurant. Thanks to each of the staff."

"Excellent food, friendly staff, and reasonably priced. Check out their daily specials and new items on the chalkboard. My Mom wanted the fried chicken livers, so we went on a Friday. My daughter loved the mini corn dogs. I had the sweet and hot grilled chicken sandwich special, and it was delicious (new!). You'll need extra napkins or a wet wipe! The bun was soft and sweet. A perfect combo of sweet and spice. Get the cornbread & rolls. They are yum."

"RECOMMEND: if you like ma and pop shops. Service: Friendly. Brought extra refills without asking. Always checking on you. Speedy acknowledgement when entering door. Only bad thing was its a small place and busy. Felt a bit enclosed I guess. Food: Fried green tomatoes I liked the crunchyness of the outside. It was my first time trying. So I would say good if you like that kind of thing. I'm more of a cheese person. Pork chop was cooked perfect. Sides were hot. Roll was soft. Country Fried Steak was great. Homemade coleslaw. Corn bread was hard. Like hard hard. That was the only bad thing."

"We had a birthday celebration for our daughter. The staff, ALL OF THE STAFF, were extremely welcoming. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, service was fast, the restaurant was VERY clean. All of our food was delicious. We had brought in a cake, staff provided us small plates and utensils. Love this place and will definitely be coming back. Service is absolutely top notch"

"Food was really good and staff friendly. Didn't have to wait long on food. Will definitely go back. Pictured below is pulled bbq sandwich with baked beans and potato salad, country fried steak with brown gravy(instead of white), mashed potatoes and fried okra and a bowl of pinto beans."

"We are staying in town and decided to check out The Local for dinner. We ordered through Doordash and had it delivered to our hotel. We ordered: Better Thank Potato Skins Poppable Shrimp Country Fried Steak Chicken Tenders Mini Corn Dogs and Fries Mac & Cheese Mashed Potatoes Green Beans Overall the food was good, and was devoured by our hungry bunch. There were some notable things. The chicken tenders, Poppable shrimp, and country fried steak was amazing and delicious. Best fried shrimp I've had in quite some time. The sides were good, but were pretty basic and very light on the seasoning. The Better Thank Potato Skins were a real disappointment. We were expecting hot and crispy potatoes, but instead got soft and mushy potatoes that all just caked together. Overall, it was a good meal and we would order from here again."
